A Personal Trainer provides Tech students, staff,
faculty, alumni and dependents with the motivation, education, guidance
and individual instruction required to achieve their personal fitness
goals. Trainers will design an exercise program tailored for each individual
that reflects the client's objectives, fitness level and experience.
Fitness classes offer individuals the opportunity to reduce
tension and stress; to tone muscle and improve body image;
to increase energy levels and boost self-confidence; and most importantly,
to have fun!
A fitness assessment is a basic exercise test that is available to all students, faculty, staff and Virginia Tech patrons. This test will provide you with important information about your current fitness levels. This test includes the following assessments: resting heart rate, blood pressure, percent body fat, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility testing. Please note a fitness assessment is included as a session in the Personal Training Packages.
